For canned cherries, it is, if you’ll pardon the expression, as easy as pie.  Just pour the cherries out of the can, and on to the baked torte and heat them through for about five minutes in the oven.  Don’t add any sugar – they will be sweet enough.  Thanks for asking – this is one recipe where using canned fruit works really well.]]></description>
