I started this blog almost five years ago, with a recipe for my great-grandmother’s fried chicken. It was in a letter she wrote me when I was a teenager, in the spindly handwriting of a very old lady. America’s Table has been an absorbing part of my life, and I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many different people through our mutual interest in food, flowers, and treating people well. Now it’s time for me to take a break from the blog. Thank you to all the people who’ve helped me along the way, and to the followers who keep me on my toes. I hope you’ve enjoyed America’s Table as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
